VDOE is updating MFA requirements for all SSWS users to allow for receipt of tokens by SMS instead of email if you want to opt-in for SMS tokens. Please login to your SSWS account and use the 2-Factor Preference link on the side menu to change your 2-Factor Preference selection to "Receive Two-factor Tokens by Text," then enter your cell phone number. This authentication method is not required. In the near future you will be required to use an authenticator as your MFA when logging into SSWS. Email and Text will not be an option as we integrate with the single sign on. This authenticator will not require you to use your personal cell phone. The SMS option today is for those users may not want to get their token via email. These changes are necessary to bring SSWS into compliance with the new Commonwealth Security Standard SEC530.

ACAPS is a "paperless" Web-based system for the submission and review of assessment committee applications from educators in Virginia public schools. To use ACAPS, all applicants and references must have a teaching license on file with the Virginia Department of Education.
